Jesse(your guide) and Mike(bus driver) were amazing. Tour was just as advertised. You get 2 and a half hours at the canyon which is plenty of time. The food was good. They give you plenty of water and chocolate chip granola bars. 30 minute stop at Hoover dam which is good enough to walk and get your pictures of it. We enjoyed ourselves.

Wear hiking shoes! The trip was a promised. Bus arrived on time. We were delayed leaving about 30 minutes waiting for those who took the helicopter tour to return. The bus was comfortable and clean. Thankfully it was not an overly hot day. Ice cold water was provided for the ride back and was plentiful. Our guide was Liang and David was our driver. Liang was enjoyanle.

It was well organized and comfortable as well as safe. The driver was efficient and the guide, Ray, was excellent and professional. He gave us detailed and explicit instructions and followed thru all the way. Both were courteous and friendly.

Well worth the cost. Going early before the heat of the day is a must. Our guide Scarlet was informative, very friendly, and all you could ask for. Our driver was wonderful and they had plenty of water at every stop. Don’t miss the Hoover Damn photo op and chance to walk along side the bridge to get great photos of the damn. Great trip!

The experience was definitely worthwhile. Charlie is a gifted speaker who incorporates humor into his historical stories. Sneakers or hiking boots are a must to safely explore all the Grand Canyon has to offer. I highly recommend this trip, the views were stunning, the commentary, by Charles was witty and educational, and the entire experience was excellent.

Itinerary

Your full-day tour to the Grand Canyon West Rim from Las Vegas begins with a pickup from one of several designated hotels. Make an early start to avoid the crowds and the heat of the day. Plus a Grand Canyon Ambassador boards the bus to scan tickets so you can avoid long lines and head straight to the sights.

Unlike many tours that rush through the Grand Canyon, this one gives you plenty of time to fully appreciate the sights. Enjoy direct access to Eagle and Guano Points, and enjoy the thrill of walking on the glass floors of the Grand Canyon Skywalk (if option selected), or the aerial and canyon views from a helicopter and pontoon boat ride (if option selected). Refuel with a tasty lunch (if option selected), snacks, and bottled water will be provided to keep you hydrated in this hot climate.

There will also be time to stop at the Hoover Dam for an epic photo opportunity, and to admire the views of Lake Mead. At the end of the tour you’ll be dropped off again at select Las Vegas hotels.

  • There may be waiting periods at any point or attraction due to weather or passenger volumes
  • Skywalk Policy: You may bring your mobile phone onto the Skywalk, but all bags, cameras, and other personal items are not allowed. Complimentary lockers are available for secure storage. Please note: During your visit inside Grand Canyon West, backpacks and large bags must remain on the vehicle while you explore each site.
  • Hotel pickup is available for this tour/activity. Depending on the hotel, buses may not be able to access or enter every property. In this case, pickup may be redirected to a central bus stop or nearby hotel. Exact pickup details will be provided to the guest upon reconfirmation with the local tour operator.
  • Children age 6 and under require to use the car seat during the trip. Please have your own car seat/booster if possible. Please contact with tour operator in advance if you need more help.
  • For safety and communication purposes during the trip, a reachable phone number is necessary for participants.
  • For individual special needs, we may not be able to guarantee it. For special reasons, please confirm with the tour operator whether your special request is feasible after your booking is confirmed.
  • You must provide your pick-up location to the operator at least 3 days before departure. If not received, the default pick-up will be: 06:30am Excalibur Hotel & Casino at Bus Pick up Area--3850 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109

Great day trip from Las Vegas

I enjoyed this tour a lot! It's a perfect day trip from Las Vegas and a great introduction to the Grand Canyon (West), which is the closest part of the Grand Canyon to Las Vegas. The tour guide was Jessie James and the driver was Dong and they both did a great job making sure that we had a great tour (when you tip, you should tip them separately). Dong is a careful and attentive driver. He also made sure that we got iced water bottles at each stop. Jessie has a wonderful voice (that radio announcer type of voice) and he has a gentle and pleasant way about him, which makes him a great tour guide. He was knowledgeable about all the places we were visiting and encouraged us to ask questions about the tour. The information he shared was very useful and made the tour more interesting. He also handed us an information sheet and the voucher, and explained what to expect and gave us tips on how to manage time, which was very helpful. We first stopped at the Hoover Dam, where we had 30 minutes to walk to the overlook, take photos and return to the bus. Once we got to Eagle Point, we had three hours to experience the Skywalk, explore the adjacent area and have lunch (if you purchased those options), take the shuttle to Guano point and explore that area. The restaurant can take time if there's a crowd but the food is great! The older waitress is not that pleasant though. The Skywalk isn't that big a deal though, to be honest. I don't think I got a lot out of being on that glass bridge. You get 15 minutes on it, and now they let you take your phone to take photos. If you're short for time, just skip this Skywalk. If you're also stressed about managing time, just purchase the basic entry fee package. I think I got lucky with the lines at each point, but I can see how it can get hectic trying to do everything in 3 hours. After Eagle Point, you take the shuttle to Guano Point, which has much better views than at Eagle Point. They have a place to get lunch there too, but the options are limited. Note that there can be lines at the Skywalk, the Sky View restaurant, and for the shuttle bus. So plan accordingly because 3 hours go by faster than you think. If it rains and there's lightening, they close the Skywalk. Some people in our group couldn't do the Skywalk as a result because they went to the restaurant first and by the time they were ready for the Skywalk, it was raining with lightening. So, pay attention to the weather if you book the Skywalk option. Overall, this is a tour I recommend. Thank you Jessie James and Dong!

An unexpected surprise

Prepare for this to be your only activity. Dress comfortable in tennis shoes. Stay hydrated. Make sure be at pick up point on-time and each tour bus that come, ask to see if you're on the list (you don't want to mistakenly miss your bus)

The whole trip when smoothly, the guide was very informative. The weather was hot. The food at the skywalk restaurant could have been more appetizing.(fast food snack feeling) Could have gotten closer to the Hoover dam. Over all, breath taking site, enjoyed the experience

Comfortable shoes, extremely comfortable clothing. Plz dnt go with a bunch of luggage like you’ve never been out the house. Travel light, plenty of sunscreen, dnt forget your selfie stick. Plenty of pictures to take.

Wonderful tour of Hoover Dam & Grand Canyon West Rim

Charles and Kijo were great. Charles has a deep knowledge of the region, history, geology and everything else. I had a great time and got to see the majesty of the Grand Canyon. 3 hours is enough time to experience the grandeur of the Grand Canyon. Highly recommend!

A day at the Grand Canyon with Edward and Steven

Edward was a rocking tour guide. Steven was a great driver. Overall the experience was really wonderful, would recommend again in a second. An unexpected highlight was the lunch, native American beef stew and frybread. Edward was particularly involved and helpful, taking pictures of us at a scenic spot.

Great day out at Grand Canyon West with genial guide Eric and driver Steve. Early start on-time, plenty of convo with Eric throughout the day. Well managed visits to Eagle Point and Guano Point including a tasty lunch. Stunning scenery. Good head for heights required for Skyview platform. Kept to timings throughout and on-time return to Vegas. Safe driving from Steve and entertaining rapport with Eric. Fab day with great memories.

The whole day was amazing from the awesome Grand Canyon to the well worth seeing Hoover Dam. Our guide Edward was great; he was professional, knowledgable and knew how to make the trip fun for us! Luis, our bus driver was wonderful too ensuring a smooth and safe trip for us. The snack and water throughout the day were well appreciated too for a 95 degree day!
